  • Acolyte preparation: wash robes & refill acolyte wicks (weekly)

  • Restock children’s Sunday School activity stations (monthly)

  • Restock children’s worship activity books (weekly)

  • Plan, create, and build sets for kids summer music camp (Wednesdays 6-7:30pm) 

  • Deep clean & re-organize classrooms & teacher supply room

  • Sunday School teachers

  • Sunday School assistants

  • Subs for Sunday School

  • Pick up supplies for kids for after school programs (weekly)

  • Drive a van on Mon or Wed from 2:30-3:30 (weekly or monthly)


Vacation Bible School

July 14-18, 6-8 pm

  • Help pull supplies and prep materials for VBS

  • 6 Directors for each of these areas: Bible Adventures, Games, Snacks, Movies, STEM classes, & Stage

  • 10 Teachers & 10 Assistants needed for  PreK & Elementary

  • 16 Crew leaders - (non-teaching role) 

  • 6 registration guides

  • Kitchen crew

  • Help create and build decorations

  • Help put up decorations and/or tear down after VBS

  • Sunday School leaders & assistants for youth

  • Coordinate meals for youth Wednesday nights (communicate to parents weekly)

  • Bring a meal (sign up) for youth on Wednesday evenings.

  • Clean up & organize The Underground space


Music Ministry: contact Dr. Tish Davenport, tishkennedydavenport@gmail.com

  • Singers for 9 am Traditional service (all parts, especially alto)

  • Play handbells in Tuesday evening group (no experience necessary, just know right from left hand!)

  • Repair (or find replacement) wheel replacement for a handbell cart/trolley.

  • Organize bulletin hard copies and log weekly hymns into “worship hymnals”

  • Organize ukulele music into binder & create filing system for Ukulele music and parts

  • Occasional Sam’s Club run to restock supplies for the choir room.

  • Hang pictures/decor in Tish’s office.

  • Volunteers for Security Teams - online training will be provided

  • Medical assistance teams - oversee AED, CPR, first aid, emergency medical response

  • Helpers to keep CLC kitchen clean - includes organization of pantry area

  • Wash tablecloths after events.

  • Parking lot attendants for large events (such as Ordination night)

  • Gardening help - maintaining flower beds, weed, planting. Use Master Gardener skills!

  • Vehicle maintenance - safety checks, tires, oil, belts, hoses, etc…, washing outside & cleaning inside of vehicles.

  • Help with funeral receptions - preparing food, serving, calling volunteers, cleaning up, dishwashing–need more co-leaders who will rotate responsibility. 

  • Office help - answering phones/front door, filing, purging archived files.

  • Visiting Team - visit people in the hospital, nursing facilities, and/or homes

  • Assist pastors to be ready for funerals - help prepare the Sanctuary, being available for flower delivery and arranging displays, place sign in sheets and reserved signs on pews, see to needs of grieving families before the service begins

  • Volunteer to start and/or facilitate a small group.

  • Volunteer to help start a new Sunday School class.

  • Volunteers to help serve Holy Communion, especially at 11 am Traditional service.

  • Liturgists, especially at 11 am Traditional service.

  • Additional ushers and greeters in all worship services.

  • Help pick up bulletins and items left in pews after worship services.

  • Volunteers to help with stage production (changing set to reflect different seasons of the Christian year)

  • Volunteers to help with set up and tear down of equipment for Worship on the Water and Easter Sunrise services.
