Hospitality & Outreach Hospitality In the south, we know that hospitality is making others
feel at home. We want guests to feel at home in our church, as well as know
Jesus Christ personally, therefore it is important, that we know how to share
our faith. We all have a story to tell. Learning how to share
that story, helps us grow in our faith, commitment and outreach to
others. I seldom, if ever, talk about church or
faith matters with another, unless I know that the person is a
Christian. Become a part of a small group that holds you
accountable as well as nurtures you. o

I enjoy serving people and letting them know
that I do it because God loves them. o
Attend the short term class, Just Walk Across the
Room I seek opportunities to share with non-
Christians what my relationship with Christ means to me. o Discover opportunities to be in mission
with our community. Volunteer to be a Worship Angel I have helped at least one person know Jesus
Christ. o Research how you can
offer servant kindness to others. I have helped others learn to share their
faith and they have led others to know Jesus Christ. o Lead a hospitality/outreach ministry
Outreach John Wesley, the leader of early Methodists, encouraged
them to to all the good they could to all the people they would in all the
ways they could. He saved all he could to give to others, and
ministered continually to others needs by caring for and visiting the sick
and imprisoned. We continue that emphasis on ministry to each other, as
well as our community and world. The My primary concern is caring for my own
needs. o
Be a volunteer preparing kits for UMCOR

Give
to a mission ministry in the United States or across the world I occasionally participate in short
term/volunteer opportunities. o Discover outreach opportunities in our
community. o Volunteer at the Caring Place. I participate in serving others once a
month.

Brown to understand more about UMCOR o Participate in a Mission Trip I participate in several outreach
opportunities each month. o
Explore other Mission Opportunities
through Volunteers in Mission I help others find places for
serving/outreach. o Start a new outreach ministry |
